20일 오전 김미경은 한 매체로부터 “‘김미경쇼’의 진행자이자 ‘더블유인사이츠’의 대표인 김미경의 석사학위 논문이 표절”이라며 의혹받았다.
이에 대해 김미경은 20일 트위터를 통해 “졸업한 뒤 20여 년이 지나 논문을 썼다. 결코 쉬운 일이 아니었고 테크닉적으로 부족한 게 많았다”며 “적어도 남의 콘텐츠를 쓸 때는 출처를 밝혀야 한다는 상식은 알았기에 나름대로 최선을 다해 쓴 논문이다. 좀 더 글을 섬세하게 다듬지 못하고, 학계의 기준에 맞추지 못한 것은 실수였지만 제 양심까지 함부로 팔지는 않았다”며 논문이 표절이 아니라고 강조했다.
이어 “이 논문은 제가 2000년부터 기업현장에서 성희롱 예방교육을 하면서 느꼈던 고민의 산물”이라며 “원저자만 명시하면 되는 줄 알았고 그것이 표절이 되는 것인 줄 이번에 처음 알았다”고 전했다.

Kim Mi Kyung emphasized that it’s not plagiarizing saying “After 20 years since I graduated, I wrote a master’s thesis. It was never easy and I felt I’m lack of skills” “Since I knew when I use other people’s contents, I had to reveal the source of funding; I wrote my master’s thesis doing my best I could. It was my fault that I couldn’t elaborate my style sensitively much more and I couldn’t meet the standard of the academic world, but I didn’t go against my own conscience.”
And “This thesis is my fruits of agony since I’ve been giving instruction on avoiding sexual harassment from 2000.” “I just knew that it’s okay to reveal the author, I knew it just now that it is plagiarizing.” she said.
