일본의 대표 스포츠지 닛칸스포츠는 18일 ‘서인국 4월 24일 일본 CD데뷔’라는 제목으로 서인국의 일본데뷔 확정 기사를 대서특필해 눈길을 끌었다.
닛칸스포츠는 기사를 통해 “지난해 주연을 맡은 한국 드라마 ‘응답하라1997’로 인기를 모은 배우이자 가수인 서인국(25)의 일본 CD데뷔가 17일 알려졌다. 데뷔곡은 부드러운 목소리와 가창력을 돋보이게 할 발라드곡으로, 500여곡 가까운 후보곡에서 고른 곡”이라고 소개했다.
일본에 공식적인 프로모션 활동을 갖거나 정식 데뷔도 하지 않은 한류신인아티스트가 스포츠신문에 대대적으로 실리는 것은 이례적인 일로 서인국은 국내를 넘어 일본에서의 새로운 한류스타의 탄생을 예고하고 있다.
한편, 서인국은 오는 4월 24일 일본에서 데뷔음반을 발표할 예정이며, 현재 국내에서 드라마와 음반, 영화, 광고 등 다양한 분야의 스케줄로 인해 정확한 방일 날짜는 확정되지 않은 상태다.
