지난 2012년 4월 디지털 싱글 ‘엄마 딸이니까요’ 발표 및 같은 해 12월 득녀 이후로 쭉 휴식기를 가지던 박기영에게는 1년만의 컴백 작품이 되는 셈이다. 박기영이 맡은 마리아는 논베르크 수녀원의 청원수녀로 활발하고 노래를 좋아하며 모든 것에 따뜻하고 사랑스런 시선을 가진 매력적인 인물이다.
박기영은 “작품을 듣고 바로 출연 결정을 했을 정도로 정말 좋아하는 작품이다. 평소 꿈꾸고 하고 싶던 뮤지컬 중 하나이기에 출연을 결심했다”라고 출연 소감을 밝혔다.
또한 “딸아이 출산 후 첫 복귀하는 작품이기에 각오가 남다르다 비록 딸아이가 어려 기억 못하겠지만 아이에게 좋은 선물이 될 것 같다. 즐겁고 재미있게 열심히 할테니 많은 관심과 사랑 부탁드린다“라는 소감을 전했다.

Park Ki Young joins a musical ’Sound of Music’ after giving birth
Park Ki Young, a singer, is billed to play Maria of a musical ’Sound of Music’.
Since she released a digital album ’Because I’m a mom’s daughter’ last April and gave birth to a daughter in December, 2012, she had period of rest. It’s a comeback performance in a year.
Maria who Park Ki Young will play is a nun of Nonnbgerg Abbey. She’s cheerful and likes to sing and an attractive person who has warm and lovely eyes toward everything.
Park Ki Young gave her thoughts on appearance as saying "It’s my favorite musical to such an extent as to decide to play as soon as I heard this. It’s one of the musicals that I would like to play, so I made a decision to play.”
“Since this the first project that I will work after giving birth to a baby girl, I will be willing to do my best. Although my daughter will not be able to remember it, because she’s young, I think it may be a good gift for her. I’ll enjoy and do hard. Please pay attention and love.” she also said.
