두 사람의 은밀한 데이트 사진이 포착된 가운데 오종혁의 소속사인 DSP미디어 측은 26일 “당일 보도된 오종혁과 티아라 소연의 열애보도와 관련된 소속사의 공식 입장을 알려드린다”면서 “소속사 확인 결과 현재 오종혁과 티아라 소연은 약 3년여간 교제 중”이라고 밝혔다. 두 사람은 오종혁의 군입대 직전 정식 교제를 시작, 비교적 만남이 잦지 못한 군생활 시기 동안에도 서로의 꾸준한 배려와 이해로 만남을 이어 왔다는 것.
또 DSP미디어 측은 “현재는 연인 관계로는 물론 듬직한 연예계 선후배로 서로 좋은 만남을 지속해오고 있는 중이며 열애와는 별개로 각자의 자리에서 최선을 다해 활동해 나갈 두 사람에게 앞으로 따뜻한 관심과 사랑을 부탁 드리겠다”고 당부했다.
