뮤지컬 ‘브로드웨이 42번가’는 5월11일 뮤지컬 전용 극장 디큐브아트센터에서의 개막을 앞두고 오는 26일 1차 티켓을 오픈한다.
뮤지컬의 본고장인 브로드웨이를 배경으로 뮤지컬 배우를 꿈꾸는 한 소녀가 스타로 탄생하는 과정을 그린 ‘브로드웨이 42번가’는 지금도 전 세계에서 끊임없이 공연되는 뮤지컬의 고전이다. 뉴욕 브로드웨이의 한 블록을 그대로 떼어다 놓은 듯한 무대 세트와 화려한 의상, 신나는 탭댄스 군무가 브로드웨이의 뜨거운 열정을 고스란히 전한다.
2013년 ‘브로드웨이 42번가’는 여느 때보다 더 탄탄한 캐스팅으로 역대 최고의 무대를 선사할 예정이다. 특히, 뮤지컬의 흥행보증 수표인 박상원과 박해미는 지난 2009, 2010년에 이은 세 번째 출연을 결정함으로써 작품에 대한 신뢰도와 기대치를 높인다.
