이날 촬영은 준석이 의문의 무리들에게 집단 구타를 당하는 도중 준석의 숨겨진 광기가 폭발되는 중요한 장면으로, 주상욱은 촬영 도중 발목을 다치는 등 크고 작은 부상을 입었지만, 끝까지 집중력을 잃지 않고 연기 투혼을 펼쳐 스태프들의 뜨거운 갈채를 받았다는 후문이다.
특히, 점점 광기적으로 변신하는 모습에선 소름이 돋을 만큼 엄청난 연기몰입으로 주위의 탄성을 불러일으켰다는 첨언이다.
한편, 영화 ‘응징자’는 고교시절 창식으로부터 집단 따돌림을 당한 준석이 15년 후 자신이 받았던 고통을 그대로 재현한다는 내용의 액션 스릴러 영화로 양동근, 주상욱이 주연을 맡았다. 오는 8월 개봉 예정.
